Gill's Fund for NWSS Youth

Gill's Fund is a memorial to our beloved NWSS member Gill Schuman. Gill believed that focusing
on young people and helping them feel good about their identity was the best way to preserve
a strong faith and proud heritage, thereby ensuring success of future communities.
From her own personal experience she knew
that camps like Shemesh and Israel Tour reinforce a child's identity, develop future leaders,
help build life-long friendships and create unbreakable bonds with Judaism and community.
To honour her legacy, Gill's Fund was created to provide financial awards to NWSS youth,
to assist them to attend camps and programmes, including the Reform Movement's Shemesh, and Israel tour (post-GCSE)
programmes.
The awards are available to 12-18 year olds who are members of NWSS, either through their family or
on their own.
