Study, discussion and argument have always been at the heart of Jewish life.
At NWSS we play our part in keeping up the tradition.
There are opportunities for members to learn about Judaism's intellectual and spiritual heritage,
and share their knowledge and views with others.
There are also activities which explore aspects of Jewish life through film, art,
music and crafts. These are some of our current activities.
Torah Breakfast on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
A look at the week's Torah portion over breakfast. Hebrew knowledge
is not needed.
Lunch and Learn on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
If you find the Torah Breakfast a bit too early, why not bring some finger food and stay
on after the service for a Torah study session led by Rabbi Jackie and/or a member of the community.
Preparation for High Holy Days. There is a series of
study and discussion sessions before the High Holy Days. This year the theme was "Reject, Repair, Resolve".
Basic Hebrew and Judaism Classes - for anyone who wants to learn about,
