Join us for this year’s Sukkot celebrations. As Sukkot falls on a Sunday this year it seemed a perfect opportunity to run the festivities directly following on from Cheder in the afternoon. We have a great afternoon and evening in store with activities, a short service, a Chavurah supper and ice cream dessert, rounded off with Sukkot table top discussions.
Cheder will be running from late afternoon. From the evening onwards, we’ll be building the Sukkah, carrying out small repairs and decorating it. This year we like it to look the best it ever has but need everyone’s help so please bring your greenery and decorations to hang in it. We’ve also been looking into other traditions and decorations from around the world to inspire us so you can expect to our Sukkah to look like never before.
Then we’ll all gather around for the Erev Service. This will be followed by a Chavurah Supper so please bring a vegetarian dish to share with community. This will be followed by an ice cream kiddush, kindly provided by Cheder.
Unfortunately, the planned RSY Israeli Tour Talk will have to be rescheduled as it conflicts with the RSY Tour Reunion that Bernie, Lucy and Talia will be attending. The Chavurah Supper will be extended slightly when we’ll have some table top discussions at the ready. Resources will be provided giving information about different aspects of Sukkot, different traditions and customs and how we might find the equivalents in today’s society.
It’s set to be a great afternoon and evening, with fun activities, some creative flair, food (of course) family, friends and most importantly community.

See you there!
