Visitors are welcome at NWSS. In addition, some people may be interested in exploring the road that leads to joining the faith and family of Judaism. Conversion to Judaism is a process that takes about two years. It begins with attendance at services and other Jewish events. At NWSS it includes meeting with the Rabbi and discussing your religious journey. At the conclusion of the formal course of study, potential converts visit with the Reform Beit Din (religious court) and Mikveh (immersion in ritual bath), which leads to Jewish status. Men are asked to provide written proof that they have been circumcised.
Non-orthodox communities worldwide recognise conversions through the Movement for Reform Judaism.
